We have compiled the most frequently asked questions below and answered them as thoroughly as possible. If you still have a question after reading through the FAQs, please post it in the comments section and we will be sure to address it.
What exactly is a design team?
Our design team is currently a group of seven fun and creative freelance scrapbookers from around the country who work from their homes. Using Reminisce products, they create layouts, projects and cards as assigned by Reminisce. Being so spread out, all team members keep in touch regularly through a group website. The comraderie of this team is very supportive - every time someone is published or has personal news, everyone else is quick to post a congrats message!
What does being a design team member entail?
A huge perk of being on the design team is seeing the newest Reminisce products before anyone else! Every time Reminisce releases a new collection of products, we ship samples of everything to each of our design team members, along with an assignment as to what we need in terms of layouts, projects and more. We provide a shipping account number to each of our members so that it is easy to ship finished projects back to our main office. Other member perks include a standing discount on any orders placed for personal use products, linking your blog to the Reminisce blog, and you are always credited on our website, catalog, and blog when we showcase your project.
How are design team members paid?
Design team members are compensated monthly. They submit an invoice at the end of every month, listing all of the projects completed since their last invoice. Paychecks are issued within the first ten days of the following month. Team members work as contractors, not employees, and are given a 1099 form at the end of the year for tax purposes. Team members are also encouraged to orchestrate make 'n' takes at their local scrapbook stores and submit items for publication - both of which Reminisce provides additional compensation for.Design team members truly have an ideal work situation! They have the flexibility to work from home, and during the hours that are most convenient for them. Assignments are given on a regular basis, although some are more extensive than others. One month we may only need a single layout from each member, the next we may need half a dozen. Workloads are typically heaviest right before CHA trade shows which take place in January and July every year. This is because at CHA shows, we release multiple collections all at once and therefore need several project samples for each line. Because the window between new products being manufactured and released is small, turnaround times on assignments are typically between 1-2 weeks. To make this easier, we give as much "heads up" before an assignment as possible, including sending images of new products in production, so that members can start to brainstorm their projects before they even receive the actual supplies.

Christmastime Wreath
by Cindy Noesen
This festive wreath features the Christmastime collection. The stunning foil papers, glitter papers and beautifully coordinating stickers will have your home spruced up and just in time for the guests! Cindy put this wreath together using four sheets each of Christmas Stripe, Christmas Cheer, and Christmas Swirl Red, two sheets of Christmas Swirl Green, three sheets of 12 x 12 Ribbon Glitter Stickers, one 12 inch foam wreath, and many 32mm push pins.
Step 1) Adhere two sheets of Christmas Stripe paper to form a double sided paper. Complete this step with the remaining papers, except the Christmas Swirl Green, which will be used in a later step.
Step 2) Cut the double sided Christmas Strip paper 1 ½ inches by 5-5 ½ inches.
Step 3) Cut the double sided Christmas Cheer paper 1 inch by 5-5 ½ inches.
Step 4) Cut the double sided Christmas Swirl Red paper ¾ inch by 5-5 ½ inches.
Step 5) Adhere the 12 x 12 Ribbon Glitter Stickers to the backside of the Christmas Swirl Green and cut to the width of the sticker. Then cut into 5 inch strips.
Step 6) Loop each strip of paper then insert a push in from the inside and then attach to the foam wreath as shown.

Noel Holiday Decor
by Tami Sanders
I started with a 12” Wood 4 Peg Rack that I painted a pearlescent white. Then I cut a backdrop out of chipboard and covered it with the snow portion of the Santa’s Tree shimmer paper. The backdrop was then adhered to the back of the rack. To embellish the backdrop, I mounted the large tree sticker from the 12 X 12 icon sticker sheet on white cardstock, cut it out, and adhered it to the left side of the backdrop. Then I used the layered sticker sheet, 12 x 12 icon and alphabet sticker sheet to embellish the rack.
The assorted shaped ornaments are made from paper mache’. I painted the edges using the same white pearlescent paint as on the rack, and covered each with paper. {Making A Snowman, Under the Tree and HO HO HO! Shimmer papers}. I used chipboard letters to spell out “noel” one letter per ornament, and then embellished each ornament with “ribbons” from the 12 X 12 ribbon sticker sheet and stickers from the layered sticker sets. I cut the hangers that came on the ornaments off, and adhered pieces of jute with a bow at the top to the back of each.
The handle at the top of the piece is made from 20 gauge white wrapped floral wire embellished with ribbons.

27 Days until Christmas! Have you started your shopping yet? Have you decorated your home or trimmed your tree? Maybe you are looking for some inspiration for ideas for Holiday Home Décor, Ornaments, Gift Tags, and Ornaments? Over the course of the next week you will find them all here!
Today we are going to start with one of my favorites; a Mini Book Christmas Ornament. In previous years, I have made up to 10 each of 4 different versions of these books, one version for us, one for my side of the family, one for Matt’s side of the family, one for our group of friends. I create the books myself then fill them up with 12-20 pictures highlighting fun events from throughout the year.
The books are very easy to make, and easy to adapt to whatever size of photo you want to feature. When I’m doing many versions of the same book, I make them smaller and then I print out 12-20 sheets 2” x 3” photos.
To create a book to hold sixteen 2” x 3”;
Start with a piece of chipboard 4” x 6 3/8”. Score the 6 3/8” side of in 3” from both sides (creating a 3/8” area in the center that will become the binding area of the book - see the white lines on the image below.) Then cut a piece of Christmas Cheer paper 5” x 7 3/8”. Adhere chipboard to the backside of the printed paper as shown.
1. Cut the corners of the paper at a 45 degree angle to the corners of the chipboard as shown;
A Layer adhesive where the white edges of the paper are showing on the backside, and fold the edges over to finish the cover.
Cu Cut an 8” piece of ribbon, then fold over and attach to the
inside binding (in the center) of the book
4. Cut eight pieces of cardstock 5 ¾” x 3 ¾”, then score each one on the long (5 ¾”) side at 2 7/8” (creating two halves 2 7/8”x 3 ¾”). Adhere one side of the first piece to the inside cover. The crease on the cardstock should be lined up with the score line at 3” on the chipboard.
6. Then adhere one side of the second piece of cardstock to the backside. Repeat with all eight pieces. Then adhere outer edge of the eighth piece to the inside back cover.
C Cut a 9" x 1/2" strip of the remaining green cheer paper. Close the book and wrap the strip around the book - make sure there is enough space to get the strip on and off the book once it is adhered - then adhere the strip.
Embellish the cover, and then you have a spectacular Mini Photo Album Ornament that you can enjoy for years!

This is Remy.(Short for Remington, but also a play on Reminisce) He was born September 6, and he is a miniature labradoodle (he should be about 25lbs fully grown). We surprised Isabella and Vivian with his arrival Friday night. We picked them up from school unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, and told them wewere meeting one of Matt’s parents’ friends at the airport. Here is what they found instead when we arrived at the airport….
Oh yeah, it was pajama day at school yesterday - so the kids had on their pajamas at the airport.
Remy is an awesome dog! (I know people keep telling me just wait), but really so far he’s been great! He’s happy to be down on ground playing, and he’s also content if you pick him up and carry him. He loves to follow whatever person is walking around the house, but mostly he just LOVES attention. So far no accidents, and he slept through the night last night! (Lets hope these trends continue).
To see more pictures of Remy on Saturday visit www.payitbackwards.typepad.com

All this week we are highlighting some phenomenal projects using our all new travel collection, PASSPORTS. PASSPORTS is the most comprehensive travel collection we have ever created. It highlights 72 of the top traveled locations around the globe and thanks to our design team we are showcasing all the unique ways you can use PASSPORTS (even if you've never traveled to Italy or France!) Yesterday we showed you the Gibson's European Vacation Album. Today we are highlighting another unique idea, THE ULTIMATE INTERNATIONAL RECIPE BOOK. Our design team member Tami Sanders came up with this concept and we LOVE IT!! Bon Appetit!!

This last summer our family took a trip of a lifetime through the Alpine Magic of Northern Italy, Switzerland, and Germany. This included some incredible experiences from a boat ride on Lake Como, to biking through Munich and by far one of the coolest experiences of our lives, our entire family paragliding in the Swiss Alps!
Our new line, PASSPORTS was perfect to highlight the entire journey. My wife Andria spent the last couple of days having fun playing with all of the new papers and stickers and coming up with her latest album, The Gibson's European Vacation. Enjoy, and look for PASSPORTS very soon at a scrapbook retailer near you!! -Matt Gibson, CEO
