Is Friday night Poker Night in your house??

It is in the Holmes' household and Kim Holmes created this scrapbook layout using the Casino Papers and Stickers from the Reminise Celebration Series to document the family event...

Love how she highlighted the photo of the chips and cards and included the pictures of her participating family members too, all in one layout.

A Reminisce western mini album

Today, I am sharing a custom made mini album and the technique used to create the textured effect on the cover. It features the Western papers and embellishments from the Reminisce Celebration Series...

To create the textured effect on the cover:

1. Adhere the Wanted paper to the chipboard boot.

2. Take a piece of white tissue paper, crumple and uncrumple, then spray with some brown water based mists. Let dry.

3. Apply adhesive to the entire surface of the Wanted paper on the chipboard boot.

4. Smooth the tissue paper onto the adhesive. Tear off the excess.

5. Sand the edges of the chipboard to remove the rest of the excess tissue paper. Ink the edges and the surface of the cover to add depth and dimension to the texture.

6. Embellish as shown using the Star from the 12x12 Icon Sticker sheet, the ribbon trim from the Western Folded Border Sticker sheet and the WANTED chipboard sign from the Western Chipboard Signs sticker sheet. The alphabet letters are from the Monkey Business Line...they matched perfectly.

A Reminisce Product Challenge - "It's a B-side, Baby!"

The new and improved Reminisce blog is kicking off with a product challenge!

Did you know?

Most of the Reminisce patterned papers come two sided-themed on one side with a trusted and true pattern on the B-side. It's like getting 2 papers for the price of one! And the B-sides are extremely versatile. For example, I used the B-sides of the Reminsce Signature Series Cruise and Australia papers to create this layout of my son riding his bike:

The details:

Your challenge is to highlight the B-sides of some of your favorite Reminisce papers in a paper craft project-a layout, a card, an altered object, your choice. Post the project to your blog or upload to an online gallery and load the link into the widget below (please link your specific blog post or gallery item-not your main blog link or entire album) so we all can enjoy your inspiration!
