Holiday Papers...EVERYDAY layout....

DT member Kim Holmes created this everyday layout with the Reminsce 4th/DC papers.

Welcome to 4th of July week!

Reminisce is getting an early start on the Independence day holiday. Here's a layout by DT member Tami Sanders using the 4th/DC 2 in 1 paper collection...

Tami was kind enough to provide some step-by-step instructions (with pictures) for making the pinwheels on her layout...super fun and super easy summer embellishments!

1) start with 1 square of cardstock and 2 squares of printed paper
{3 & 3 ½ squares were used in sample}.

 
2) adhere the printed paper squares to the front and back of the cardstock square.     

3) use a ruler to lightly pencil diagonal lines across square in both directions to make and “x”

4) then cut along each line, stopping about ¾” from the center.

 
5) after the lines are cut; erase pencil marks.

6) decide which pattern you want to be the “main” color, in this case the stripe, and place that side up.
then fold down the point – either the left or the right one to the center.

 
7) fold down the next point (same side as before).
 
8) and continue until all points have been folded.

 
9) place a sizable “glob” of glue at the center of the square and on the underside of each point.
(use a quick grab, fast setting glue)
 
10) also put a good amount of glue on the back of your button.
 
11) fold all points back down, top with button and hold until glue sets.

Add to your project and ENJOY!

From SCRAPS to Treasures...a floral BROOCH!

Welcome to another installment of FROM SCRAPS TO TREASURES!!! Miss Meagan has created this fabulous brooch using scraps of In Bloom and one of the NEWEST releases, Dog Park.

She created a collection of spiral flowers (love the brown ones with the square edges) and adhered them to a chipboard backing piece with a brooch attachment preattached. The centers of three of the flowers were finished with a little bit of bling!

MORE Father's Day CARDS!

Today's feature is some additional Father's Day cards created by DT member Robin Gibson...

Love how she used the Monkey Adventures stickers and papers to create a completely personalized card! Robin also finished the inside of the card and continued the sentiment, keeping true to her space theme:

Next is this Hollywood themed card, featuring papers from the Reminisce Celebration Series:

LOVE the film strip that Robin fussy cut out of the Lights, Camera, Action paper and then crinkled and folded before adhering to the card.

Isn't it fun how this week, the designers have taken ALL SORTS of themed Reminisce papers and turned them into Father's Day Cards! Love that kind of creativity!

Today, DT member Kim Holmes shares a layout featuring her husband and her sons at a ballgame TOGETHER...

Kim chose to use some papers from the Graduation Celebration line...what a perfect and classy complement to the picture of the 'boys' spending some quality time together!

Welcome to Father's Day WEEK on the Reminisce blog...this week we're celebrating the men in our lives....fathers, grandfathers, brothers, sons...DT member, Angela Ploegman kicks it off with a layout about her Dad...

Love how she used the DAD 3D stickers from the Signature Series and paired them with the Western Plaid and the Star paper from the 4th/DC 2 in 1 collection. The stitching detail on the backside of the Wanted paper creates an interesting yet masculine background.
