4. Format and print journaling onto white cardstock, trim to 4¼″ x 11½″, and adhere to layout. (Note: Skip this step if hand-writing the journaling.)
5. Adhere 2 photos to layout. (Note: Photo sizes used for layout shown are 4½″ x 4″ for the larger photo and 3¼ ″ x 4″ for the smaller photo.)
6. Cut a 2″ x 11½″ strip of Freedom Stripes patterned paper and adhere to layout.
7. Format number “4” on computer, reverse-print onto back side of Liberty Stars patterned paper, and cut out. Mat onto bright blue cardstock and adhere to layout for title.
8. Apply Font Buffet rub-ons for remainder of title.
9. Adhere a large Fireworks Glitter Sticker to layout using pop dots/foam adhesive. Adhere a small Star Glitter Sticker to center of fireworks sticker.
10. Remove small star border strip from Quote Glitter Sticker sheet, cut strip in half, and adhere to layout at top and bottom of journaling block.
11. Mat 1 large and 1 medium Star Glitter Sticker onto white cardstock, then mat onto bright blue cardstock, and adhere to layout using pop dots/foam adhesive.
Designer Notes:
• This single-page layout can easily be modified to accommodate one large photo, or even 3 or 4 smaller ones. To convert this design to a two-page layout, simply continue the strips across the second page and add more photos.
• One way to combine lots of different patterned papers without overwhelming a layout is to cut them in strips, like in this design. Using solid colors to break up the patterns also helps keep the layout from looking too “busy.”
• The glittered designs of the patterned papers and stickers in the Freedom Collection 4 give lots of sparkle and pizzazz to a layout…you may find that you don’t really need to add a lot of other embellishments!
