Noel Holiday Decor
by Tami Sanders
I started with a 12” Wood 4 Peg Rack that I painted a pearlescent white. Then I cut a backdrop out of chipboard and covered it with the snow portion of the Santa’s Tree shimmer paper. The backdrop was then adhered to the back of the rack. To embellish the backdrop, I mounted the large tree sticker from the 12 X 12 icon sticker sheet on white cardstock, cut it out, and adhered it to the left side of the backdrop. Then I used the layered sticker sheet, 12 x 12 icon and alphabet sticker sheet to embellish the rack.
The assorted shaped ornaments are made from paper mache’. I painted the edges using the same white pearlescent paint as on the rack, and covered each with paper. {Making A Snowman, Under the Tree and HO HO HO! Shimmer papers}. I used chipboard letters to spell out “noel” one letter per ornament, and then embellished each ornament with “ribbons” from the 12 X 12 ribbon sticker sheet and stickers from the layered sticker sets. I cut the hangers that came on the ornaments off, and adhered pieces of jute with a bow at the top to the back of each.
The handle at the top of the piece is made from 20 gauge white wrapped floral wire embellished with ribbons.
