Enjoy the holiday!
Here's a patriotic CONGRATULATIONS card created with the 4th/DC papers by DT member Robin Gibson...
Love the layering of the cardstock and patterned papers and the little 'splash' of silver ribbon she used! Thanks for sharing today Robin!
DT member Angela Ploegman created this USA banner to help celebrate July 4th with crafty style!
She used the 4th/DC 2 in 1 papers to add the holiday color and style to the banner...
What a fun and easy project! Thanks for sharing Angela!
DT member Kim Holmes created this everyday layout with the Reminsce 4th/DC papers.
Love how she was able to take the holiday side of the papers to document her daughter's class trip to Washington DC...
Great job Kim! Thanks for sharing!
Reminisce is getting an early start on the Independence day holiday. Here's a layout by DT member Tami Sanders using the 4th/DC 2 in 1 paper collection...
Tami was kind enough to provide some step-by-step instructions (with pictures) for making the pinwheels on her layout...super fun and super easy summer embellishments!
1) start with 1 square of cardstock and 2 squares of printed paper
{3 & 3 ½ squares were used in sample}.
2) adhere the printed paper squares to the front and back of the cardstock square.
3) use a ruler to lightly pencil diagonal lines across square in both directions to make and “x”
4) then cut along each line, stopping about ¾” from the center.
5) after the lines are cut; erase pencil marks.
6) decide which pattern you want to be the “main” color, in this case the stripe, and place that side up.
then fold down the point – either the left or the right one to the center.
7) fold down the next point (same side as before).
8) and continue until all points have been folded.
9) place a sizable “glob” of glue at the center of the square and on the underside of each point.
(use a quick grab, fast setting glue)
10) also put a good amount of glue on the back of your button.
11) fold all points back down, top with button and hold until glue sets.
Add to your project and ENJOY!
Thanks for sharing your tutorial and holiday layout Tami!
to all the Dads out there....Happy Father's Day from REMINISCE!
Card designed by DT member, Gina Hanson, using the 4th/DC 2 in 1 papers and journaling sticker.
Welcome to another edition of 'from Scraps to Treasures' on the Reminisce Blog! This time Meagan has taken scraps from the NEWLY released Washington DC/4th of July line and created these AMAZING USA fridge magnets...
Here's a few tips and tricks in order to create your own set at home:
1. Take large, flat, clear marbles
2. Cut a circle out of your favorite 4th/DC paper or sticker the same size as the marble
3.Use spray adhesive to adhere the marble to the paper
4. Use a hot glue gun to attach the magnet to the back of the marble
They look terrific holding up a patriotic photo on the fridge too:
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us Meagan!
ps. check back Thursday for a blog challenge! They are always a TON of fun!
