Thanksgiving placecard TUTORIAL...

Today's blog post features a tutorial for handmade Thanksgiving placecards from design team member Lynne Forsythe. She first pulled out some of the BEAUTIFUL Harvest Collection papers, Autumn Harvest and Fall Harvest, and then let the creating begin!

Here are the step by step instructions:

1. Cut cardboard 4" x 6" and scored them at 3".  Fold the cardboard in half,

paint with Gesso and then ink with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.

2. Diecut two flowers and a circle for each place card out of Autumn Harvest, run them through an embossing folder.

3. Sand the high spots.

4. Spritz the die cut flowers and a paper flower with Perfect Pearls Mist and dry them.

5. Assemble the place cards as shown.

The matching Harvest border stickers were a perfect addition to the place cards.

Don't you think these will be the perfect additions to a Holiday Table?

A Harvest PUMPKIN!

Today's featured project is an altered pumpkin created by DT member Lynne Forsythe:

Lynne created her little table topper by covering a faux pumpkin with strips of Harvest papers. She then added leaf stickers around the stem and added a colored flower and seam binding for accents.

Love the look of the torn Harvest papers...and what a creative idea for a fall centerpiece! Thanks for sharing Lynne!

A Graduation LAYOUT!

Lynne Forsythe created this fabulous Graduation Layout using the Graduation Celebration papers. She found this picture of her daughter on her camera in her graduation dress and couldn't resist creating a layout using the papers from the Graduation Celebration
Collection.

Lynne chose to work with just Black & White with a touch of green, Woodsville
High Schools color.

She created flowers from the papers using the 3-D Flower die from Sizzix.

Mother's Day Layout and Mini Album...

Today's In Bloom features inclued a layout by Lynne Forsythe AND a mini album by Robin Gibson!

First up, Lynne's layout....about HERSELF!

 

Lynne's comments about creating a layout where she was the subject, "I so very rarely scrap photos of myself as I am usually the one behind the camera. The In Bloom Collection worked sooo well with the photo taken of me, I just had to scrap it."

Next is Robin's mini album:

The inside pages contain a poem by Helen Steiner Rice that was printed on a vellum sheet, and Robin tore the verses to fit on the butterfly pages. Here are a few of the inside pages:
